Rambo: First Blood Part II Storyline

John Rambo is removed from prison by his former superior, Colonel Samuel Troutman, for a top-secret operation to bring back POW's still held in Vietnam. Rambo's assignment is to only take pictures of where the POWs are being held, but Rambo wants to get the POWs out of Vietnam. Teamed up with female Vietnamese freedom fighter Co Bao, Rambo embarks on a mission to rescue the POWs, who are being held by sadistic Vietnamese Captain Vinh and his Russian comrade, Lieutenant Colonel Padovsky. Rambo falls in love with Co Bao, and when Co Bao is killed by Captain Vinh, Rambo wants revenge, so he starts killing every enemy in sight while still focusing on his intentions to rescue the POWs. There are also corrupt American officials involved in the mission, including Marshall Murdock, one of Rambo's superiors.

Rambo: First Blood Part II goofs

CREW: About an hour into the movie, Rambo is struggling with the 'big' Russian guy in the back of the helicopter. After he manages to throw him out, he then takes control of the Russian's helicopter. Once he is seated in the pilots' seat, you get a front cameo shot of his face and in the background, you see another helicopter right on his tail (Rambo even turns around and takes a glance at the helicopter on his lead). Yet in the next panoramic shot of Rambo's helicopter skimming over the jungles of Vietnam, you see no helicopter.
FAKE: SPOILER: When Co Bao is killed, after being shot numerous times with a machine gun, there is no blood in the puddle she falls into.
FACT: The Russian helicopter that Rambo is flying is, in fact, a B-212 which is used by the American forces, not the Russians.
FAKE: When a Vietnamese soldier is caught in the cane fire, and falls to the ground in flames, his fireproof gloves are visible.
FAKE: When the helicopter Rambo is flying heads back towards the POW camp, you can clearly see that the rocket pods are empty. The same is true when the other helicopter which pursues him appears, yet both choppers fire a number of rockets.
