Edtv Storyline

Cynthia, TV producer, has an idea about how to save the station: A normal person's life should be broadcasted 24 hours a day. "Ed TV" is born the second her eye falls on Ed Pekurny, a sympathetic Joe Sixpack. After the first week on air Eds fame grows and grows, but conflicts break open: His brother Ray publishes a very negative book about Ed, who now dates Ray's ex; Ed's parent's partnership problematics are broadcasted nationwide and a very attractive and seducing model uses innocent Ed to raise her own fame. Also, Ed's contract proves to be unquittable, so that Ed Pekurny suddenly can see the golden bars around his cage. But in a country that switches the TV set on for breakfast and off for bedtime, nearly everything can happen - and people can be counted on.

Edtv goofs

CONT: Ed's feet change position between shots when he is sitting in the bathroom on the hamper and talking to Cynthia. The hamper also changes position in the overhead shot.
CONT: When Ed and his family are discussing whether or not to do the show, the cap on the 2 liter bottle of Mountain Dew appears and disappears between shots.
CONT: In the theater bathroom, where Ed finds Shari, (after pursuing her from the video store) they show a reaction shot of Shari's roommate watching at home. Then Ed goes out to the production van and, again, they cut to a reaction of Shari's roommate. She is wearing a completely different outfit.
CONT: After Ed's real father dies and he arrives at the hospital, his mother is coming down the hallway wearing high-heeled shoes. After she gives Ed a hug she has flat shoes on.
